2 die as RAB vehicle plunges into ditch

Two young men have been killed in a road accident at Nandanpur in Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila on Saturday night. The deceased were identified as Ibrahim, 20, son of one Ali mia and Yasin, 18, son of one Sono Mia, hailed from Suhilpur village of Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila. A local source said while chasing a vehicle used by an alleged drug trader, the driver of a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) vehicle lost control over the steering and plunged into a ditch beside the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway around 8:00pm, leaving two passers-by dead on the spot. Sub-Inspector of Brahmanbaria Sadar police station Abul Quashem confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
