2 die as truck rams their roadside house

Two members of a family were killed as a rashly-driven old truck ploughed through their roadside house in Kashiani Upazila in Gopalganj district on Monday morning. The dead are Rashida, 60, and Laila, 7. Sub-inspector Rothin, in-charge of Ramdia police investigation centre, said a sand-loaded truck coming from Kushtia skidded off the road in Rajpat area when its driver lost control over the steering, and the vehicle rammed a roadside house around 8:00am, leaving the two inmates of the house dead on the spot. Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
