2 die in Cox\\\'s Bazar after sewer gas inhalation

Two people died after the inhalation of toxic sewer gas in a septic tank at Omkhali village at Ramu upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Rahima Begum, 60, and Salamat Ullah, 32. Locals rescued Rahima and Salamat in an unconscious state from the newly-built septic tank at a house of the village after both fell in the tank around 1pm on the day. They were taken to Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead, according to a news agency.
