2 die in Faridpur crash

Two motorcyclists were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident in Bahirdia area in Faridpur Sadar Upazila on Monday. The deceased were identified as Moshiur, 20, and Jony, 24, a resident of Khabaspur area of the district town. Quoting witnesses, police said the accident took place on Dhaka-Khulna Highway around 6pm when a bus from the opposite direction crashed into the motorcycle carrying them, leaving the duo dead on the spot. Later the bus hit a roadside tree, leaving ten passengers injured. Being informed, police recovered the bodies. Vehicular movement on the highway came to a halt following the incident, according to a news agency.
