2 die in lightning strike

A youth and a woman were killed by a thunderbolt in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh district on Tuesday. The deceased Promoth Chandra Roy, 18, son of Khogendra Nath Roy was a resident of village Baniapara of the upazila. Family members said Promoth was standing at the corridor of the house in the morning and suddenly a lightning struck him and he died on the spot. The female victim Anjoli, 32, of village Kamatpara was killed when a thunderbolt struck her in the morning. Anjoli was wife of Mongol Roy also of Debiganj upazila, according to BSS.
