2 die in Madaripur road accident

At least two people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Kamaldi Bridge area under Rajoir upazila of Madaripur district on Wednesday. Police said the accident took place when a pick-up van collided head-on with a bus early in the morning on Dhaka-Barisal Highway. Police said the deceased might be the driver of the pick-up van and his helper. Details about their identities could not be known. Witnesses said a Faridpur-bound pick-up van collided with a bus coming from opposite direction, leaving the two people dead on the spot and five others, including some passengers of the bus, injured, according to a news agency.
