2 die in separate incidents in city

An unidentified man was crushed under the wheels of a train in Boro Moghbazar in the city while a middle-aged man allegedly committed suicide in Dhaka’s Sabujbagh area on Friday. Witnesses said a Kamalapur-bound train knocked down a man, aged around 26, near Moghbazar Wireless level crossing, leaving him dead on the spot in the afternoon. Kamalapur Railway Police Station’s Sub-Inspector Jahidul Islam said they recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Earlier, Sabujbagh police recovered the body of Yakub Ali, 40, from his residence after being informed by his family that the deceased has committed suicide. However, Yakub’s family couldn’t inform the reason of suicide. Yakub was a resident of Shabujbagh’s Dakkhingaon Kather Pool area, according to a news agency.
