2 die in Sylhet road accident

A woman and her minor son were killed and 12 other people injured in a road accident in Jaintapur Upazila in Sylhet district on Sunday afternoon. The dead are Jesmin Akter, 22, wife of Oliur Rahman of Rupcheng village and their son Minhaz Uddin, 5. Witnesses said a minibus hit a power pole at Bagher Sarak on Sylhet-Tamabil Highway around 3pm after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving 14 people injured. Of the injured, Jesmin and Minhaz died at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital while undergoing treatment, according to a news agency.
