2 die taking liquor in Rajshahi

Rajshahi, Oct 8 (UNB): Two people have died and two others fell ill after gulping excessive liquor in Paba upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Jaan Mohammad alias Janu, 52, and Jasim Uddin, 47, of Kuthipara area in the upazila.
Locals said a group of four people-Jaan, Jasim, Bainuddin and Khokan-bought toxic liquor from local drug trader Zakirul Islam alias Zakir and consumed those on Monday night.
After taking excessive alcohol, all of them fell ill on Tuesday morning. As their deteriorated, they were whisked off to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Tuesday afternoon.
Of them, Jaan died soon after his admission while Jasim around 10:30pm on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
