2 domestic helps \\\'commit suicide\\\' in city

In separate incidents, two minor domestic helps allegedly committed suicide in the city's Uttara and Pallabi areas Saturday evening,. Reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Madhuri (12), daughter of Momin of East Meshoni in Netrakona district and Abdur Rahim (15), son of Kalu Driver of Aziznagar Uttarpara under Lama Upazila of Bandarban.
Police said Madhuri had been working at the house of one Ali Azam at Road-12, Sector-14 at Uttara.
Azam and his wife Kamrun Nahar went out of their residence at around 4:30 pm Saturday. When they returned home at about 8:00 pm, they found Madhuri hanging from the ceiling inside a bathroom locked from inside.
On information, a team of Uttara West thana recovered the body of Madhuri breaking open the door of the toilet at about 8:40 pm.
The reason behind the suicide could not be known yet.
In another incident, police recovered the hanging body of Abdur Rahim from a house at Mirpur DOHS at about 7:45 pm.
Inmates of the house were sleeping in the afternoon when Abdur Rahim committed suicide between 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, said sub-inspector (SI) Abu Sayeed of Pallabi thana.
The domestic help wanted to go to his native village. But his father had been delaying to come to Dhaka to take him home, the SI said, adding that it might be the reason behind his killing self.
