2 drown in floodwater in Sherpur

Two people drowned in floodwater at Kandapara and Kamarerchor villages in Sherpur Sadar Upazila on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Abdur Rashid, a student of class VII of Char Sripur High School and a resident of Kandapara village and Samejuddin, 40, son of Kitab Ali of Kamarerchar village in the Sadar Upazila. Witnesses said Abdur Rashid drowned while bathing in floodwater on Saturday evening. On information, divers of fire service conducted search operation and recovered his body at about 10am on Sunday. Meanwhile, Samejuddin slipped into flood water while going to paddy field and drowned at Kamarerchar village on Sunday morning, according to a news agency.
