2 drown in Sunamganj

Two kids drowned in separate incidents in Chhatok and Dharmapasha upazilas of Sunamganj district on Sunday. In Dharmapashsa upazila, a minor girl, identified as Hosna Begum, 6, daughter of Abdus Salam of Nababpur village of Uttar Bongshikunda union parishad, drowned in a village pond. Witnesses said Hosna fell into the pond while playing in the afternoon. Jamal Master, chairman of the union parishad, confirmed the incident. In another incident in Chhatak upazila, a class XI student, identified as Utsho Dey, son of Hari Dey of the Ghoshbair area, drowned in a pond in the afternoon, according to a news agency.
