2 drown in Sylhet, Barguna

SYLHET, July 27 (UNB): A man drowned in a pond at Dashghar village in Bishwanath upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Selim Sumon, 34, a resident of UK and son of late Abdul Mutalib of the village.
Bishwanath Police Station officer-in-charge said Rafiqul Hossain Sumon drowned while taking bath in a pond near his home in the village around 8am on Saturday.
Later, family members recovered his body.
BSS reports from Barguna: A housewife drowned in a pond at Gazipur village under Amtali upazila here this morning. The victim was identified as Polashi Begum, 30, wife of Harun Sikdar, of the village.
Family sources said Polashi was taking ablution in the pond. Suddenly she was attacked by hysteria and fell down in the water.
