2 drug peddlers held with Yaba in Rajshahi

Members of the Department of Narcotic Control in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 265 pieces of Yaba tablets and 20 grams of heroin from Chapal area in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district on Saturday. The arrestees were identified as Rafiqul Islam, 40, son of Meraj Ali, a resident of Sahabdipur village, and Nasir Hossain, son of Mansur Rahman, a resident of Anchua Bhata village of the upazila. Zillur Rahman, assistant director of the department, said they conducted a drive in the area early morning and arrested them around 8:00 am. Later they recovered 265 pieces of Yaba tablet and 20 grams of heroin after searching the duo’s bodies. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
