2 electrocuted in Chandpur, Satkhira

Two people, including a young girl, died from electrocution in two separate incidents in Chandpur and Satkhira on Thursday. In Satkhira, a man died from electrocution at Abader Haat at Sadar upazila on Thursday night. The dead is Manirul Islam, a tea stall owner and son of Abul Kashem Dulu of Agardari village of the upazila. Police said Manirul died on the spot when he came in contact with a live electric wire while repairing power cable at his tea shop. In Chandpur, a teenage girl died from electrocution at Balithuba village at Faridganj upazila in the afternoon. The deceased was identified as Samena Akter, 16, daughter of Mostafa Mia of Sankishair Rajer Bari of the upazila. Samena came in touch with a power cable when she visited the Balithuba Jamindar Palace and died on the spot, according to a news agency.
