2 fall to death

Two people fell to death from the roof of a moving bus at Dhamoirhat upazila in Naogaon district on Friday midnight. The deceased were identified as Soilen Murmu, 20, son of Ram Murmu and Sanjit Hembrom, 17, son of Golap Hembrom of Birgram. Police and locals said Soilen and Sanjit, the two members of an ethnically minority community, were travelling on the rooftop of a bus. They fell off the speeding bus after being hit by a tree at Dhamoirhat Sadar at midnight. Both died on the spot, police and hospital sources, quoting witnesses, said. Several other people, who were also traveling on the rooftop of the bus, were injured in the incident. The injured were rushed to Dhamoirhat Upazila Health Complex, according to private TV channels.
