2 held, 525 yaba tablets seized in Ctg

Chittagong Metropolitan Police in a raid arrested two drug peddlers with 525 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from a passenger bus at Karnaphuli Bridge area of the port city Saturday.
The arrestee were identified as Ressul Miah, 35, Atiqur Rahman, 38, both hailed from Tangail and Gazipur district respectively.
On secret information, a team from the Bakalia Police Station barricaded a Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Hanif Transport Service from Cox's Bazar when the bus reached Karnaphuli Bridge area, at around 2.30am and recovered the contraband pills hidden inside a battery-power table fan, Bakalia police OC Mohammad Mohsin told a news agency.
A case was filed in this connection.
