2 held in Jessore

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested an alleged outlawed partly leader and his associate from in front of Jessore Education Board office on Monday night. The arrested were identified as Kari Ashraf, an alleged member of Purba Banglar Communist Party and son of late Rajab Ali Bishwas of Gaoghora Krisnanagar village of Bagharpara upazila of Jessore, and Anwar Hossain Tito, reportedly an aide to Ashraf and son of Shahidullah of Panchbaria village in Sadar upazila. Assistant superintendent of police Mozammel Haque of Rab-6 camp said the elite fore held them from beside the Markas Mosque at night. He said one foreign made pistol, one round of bullet and one magazine were recovered from them, according to UNB.
