2 held with 10 gold bars in Chittagong

Police arrested two young men along with 10 gold bars on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar Highway under Lohagora Police Station in Chittagong district on Tuesday afternoon. The arrestees were identified as Kawsar Hamid, 21, son of Abdur Rahman and M Saiful, son of Abdul Aziz, both residents of Teknaf Upazila under Cox’s Bazar district. Additional Police Super (Special Branch) of Chittagong Mohammed Naimul Hasan said being tipped off, a police team stopped a private car in Lohagora and searched the vehicle. They recovered the 10 gold bars from the car and arrested the two youths, according to a news agency.
