2 held with 2,100 Yaba in Comilla

Police in a drive arrested two people, including a woman, along with 2,100 pieces of Yaba tablet from a bus on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway near Daudkandi toll Plaza in Daudkandi upazila of Comilla district on Saturday. The arrestees were identified as Rabeya Begum, 30, wife of Manirul Islam of Boalia village in sadar upzila of Madaripur district, and Abul Bashar, 35, son of Ershad Master of Nikli upazila in Kishoreganj district. Abdus Salam, officer-in-charge of Daudkandi Police Station, said acting on secret information, a team of police intercepted a Dhaka-bound Shyamoli Paribahan bus and arrested Rabeya along with 1,500 pieces of Yaba tablet, kept inside the soles of her shoes, around 4:35 am. Later police also arrested Abul Bashar along with 600 pieces of Yaba tablet from the bus, according to a news agency.
