2 held with 590 yaba pills in Ctg

Chittagong Metropolitan Police in a drive arrested two men, including a fake journalist, with 590 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Karnaphuli Bridge area in the port city on early Thursday.
They were identified as Abdus Sabur alias Aman, 31, and his accomplice Mohammad Kabir Hossain, 27, a news agency report said.
On a tip-off, a team of police raided a Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Hanif Transport Service coming from Cox's Bazar in Karnaphuli Bridge area at around 4.30 am and arrested them with the tablets, said Bakalia Police Station OC Mohammad Mohsin.
"Sabur, during the drive, introduced himself as the Teknaf Correspondent of a local online news portal- Cox'sbazarkhobor24.com", the OC said, adding the arrested had been engaged in yaba trading using the fake identity of a reporter.
A case was filed in this connection.
