2 held with 62 gold bars at Shahjalal

Customs officials seized 62 gold bars weighing 7.23 kilogrammes (kg), worth about Tk 35 million from an aero plane at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport in the city on Tuesday. They also arrested two people. The arrestees were identified by the Customs men as Md Dulal Hossain and Sahidur Rahman, passengers of a flight from Dubai. The duo arrived in Dhaka from the Middle Eastern city of Dubai by FZ583 flight which landed at Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) International Airport at about 11:00am, Customs Intelligence officials said, according to a news agency.
