2 held with arms, ammo in Rajshahi

Two people were arrested along with firearms and ammunitions in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district on Thursday evening. The arrested are: Shimul, 25, son of Bashir Uddin of Panerorashia village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district and Alam Sheikh, 22, son of Bachchu Sheikh of Char Ghoshpur area in Hemayetpur upazila of Pabna district. Acting on secret information, a team of police raided a house in Bijoynagar area and arrested the duo along with one foreign made pistol, two magazines and 21 rounds of bullet. The arrestees have been involved in arms trading for long, officer-in-charge of Godagari Model Police Station Abu Mokaddem Ali said, according to UNB.
