2 held with fake currency in Comilla

Detectives in a drive arrested two people along Tk 0.42 million fake notes and currency-making equipment from Gobindapur area of Comilla Sadar upazila on Monday night. The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, 45, son of Nasir Hossain of Gobindapur, and Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, 55, son of Mohammad Abdus Salam of Thompson Bridge area in the city. Manzur Alam, officer in-charge of district DB said, on secret information, a team of Detective Branch of police conducted the drive at the house of Kamrul Hasan in the area and recovered fake currency worth Tk422,410, two computers, two laptops and a printer. They also arrested the duo from the spot, he said, according to a news agency.
