2 held with Phensidyl in Jhenidah

Two people were arrested and 70 bottles of Phensidyl syrup were recovered from a truck in Jhenidah Sadar Upazila on Sunday. The arrested were identified as Tariqul Islam, 50, son of Shafiqul Islam, and Aktarul Islam, 40, son of Abul Hossain, both residents of Darshana Upazila of Chuadanga district. Police said being tipped off a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police took position on Jhenidah-Chuadanga Road around 4:00am. The force intercepted a truck coming from Darshana Upazila of Chuadanga district. They recovered 70 bottles of Phensidyl from the truck and arrested two people from the vehicle, according to UNB.
