2 held with Phensidyl in Rajshahi

Police arrested two men in possession of 800 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup from Dayingpara More area in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district on Monday. The arrestees were identified as Ripon, 40, son of Abdul Momen of Dola village in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj district, and Shahidul, 30, son of Abul Hashem of Lalpur area in Fatullah upazila of Narayanganj district. SM Abu Farhad, officer-in-charge of Godagari Model Police Station said, tipped off a team of police conducted a drive in the area and intercepted an oil-laden truck at about 11:00 am. Later, the law enforcers recovered 800 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup searching the vehicle and arrested its driver Ripon and his assistant Shahidul. A case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
