2 held with pistol in Gazipur

Police arrested two people in possession of a foreign-made pistol, two rounds of bullet and 20 pieces of Yaba tablets from Pubail Rail Station Bazar in Gazipur city on Wednesday night. The arrestees were identified as Nadim Hossain, 30, a resident of Sapmara area, and Mamun Miah, 34, a resident of Haribarir Tek area. Ekramul Haque, in-charge of Pubail police camp, said sensing the presence of the law enforcers, 3/4 young men tried to flee when they were gathering in a tea stall inPubail Rail Station Bazar at about 11:45pm. After a hot chase, police caught the duo while their other associates fled the scene. Police also recovered a foreign-made pistol, two rounds of bullet and 20 Yaba tablets after searching their bodies, according to UNB.
