2 held with wine, beer

Police arrested two people at Paturia Ferry Ghat (terminal) at Shibalaya Upazila in Manikganj district on Friday morning. They also recovered 48 bottles of foreign made wine and 4,300 canes of beer from arrestees – Mamun Hossain, 29, and Alamin Hossain, 32. Mamun Hossain is the driver of a bus and Alamin Hossain is his helper. Acting on secret information, a team of police intercepted a bus of ‘Tisha Paribahan’ near Paturia ghat and recovered 4,300 canes of beer and 48 bottles of wine from the vehicle around 5:30am. Police arrested the driver and helper of the bus for interrogation, according to a news agency.
