2 housewives \\\'commit suicide\\\' in city

In separate incidents, two housewives reportedly committed suicide in the city’s Pallabi and Kalabagan areas on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Saraban Tahura alias Tuhin, 26, wife of Abdul Momen of 14/7 North Dhanmondi under Kalabagan Police Station, and Mukta Banu, 25, wife of Shafiqul Islam of Alabdirtek Paschimpara under Pallabi Police Station.
Being informed, sub-inspector Shamim Ahmed of the Kalabagan police station recovered the hanging body of Tuhin after breaking open the door of her bedroom around 1:05 am, said sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Tuhin was married off to Momen eight years back following love affairs. She was reportedly mentally ill, the DMCH sources said quoting her family members, a news agency report said.
Tuhin might have taken her life over a family feud, police said.
Earlier at about 11:50 pm, SI Jahangir Alam of the Pallabi police station recovered the body of Mukta Banu from her bedroom.
Black spots were found in her neck. She killed herself due to a family feud, police suspected.
The bodies were kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
