2 Indian nationals held with 2 kg gold in Rajbari

Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two Indian nationals along with two kgs and 400 grams of gold from a bus at Goalanda intersection in Rajbari sadar upazila headquarters early Saturday. The arrestees were identified as Jitendar Singh, 25, son of Jagindar Singh, and Manmohan Singh, 23, son of Jasbir Singh. They hail from Delhi and Panjab of India. Police said being tipped off, a team of DB police intercepted a Dhaka-bound ‘Shohagh Paribahan’ bus from Benapole in the area around 1:00 am and arrested the two Indians along with eight gold bars and two gold bangles, weighing two kgs and 400 grams. Ahsan Habib, assistant superintendent of police, Rajbari, visited the spot, according to UNB.
