2 Indians held with 46 gold bars in Benapole

Indian Haridaspur immigration police arrested two Kashmir citizens along with 46 gold bars, weighing 4.6 kilograms, in Petrapole check post of India opposite Benapole check post on Saturday night. Identities of the arrestees could not be known yet. Benapole immigration sources said they came to Jessore from Dhaka by air. After finishing their works they reached Indian Petrapole check post. Nayeb Subedar Abdur Rahim of BGB camp in Benapole check post said, tipped- off, Indian police arrested the duo and recovered the 46 gold bars from their mobile phone sets and shoes. Benapole customs officer Uttam Kumar Somaddar confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
