2 kids drown in Barisal

Two children drowned in a pond in Fullashri village under Agoiljhara Upazila in Barisal district on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Poly, 7, daughter of Siraj Molla and Mim, 8, daughter of Shahjahan Talukdar of the village. Sajjad Hossain, Agoiljhara police station officer-in-charge, said the girls slipped into the pond and drowned while playing at the courtyard of their house. Family members rescued the girls and took them to upazila health complex where doctors declared them dead. A UD case was filed, according to UNB.
