2 killed, 2 injured in thunderbolt

KURIGRAM, Apr 16 (UNB) : Two women died and two others were injured in thunderbolt in Bhurungamari and Nageshwari Upazilas Thursday.
The victims were identified as Felani (38), daughter of Fakar Uddin of Kamlarkuti village and Rozina (12), daughter of Abdul Kader of Haterkuti village of Bhurungamari Upazila.
Andharijhar Union chairman said the incident happened when 30-35 labours were cutting soil in Haterkuti area. There was sudden storm with thunder. Rozina and Felani were brunt to death by thunderbolt.
In another incident, two women were injured in the thunderbolt in Nageshwari Upazila Thursday.
The injured were Taherun, wife of Hamid Ali of West Raiganj village and Jarina, wife of Hossain Ali of East Raiganj village of the upazila.
