2 killed in Chakaria road crash

Two people were killed when a truck collided with a SUV at Chakaria Upazila in Cox's Bazar on Saturday morning. Six others were also injured in the accident on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway, said Shahidul Islam, SI of Harbang police outpost. The dead and injured were passengers of the SUV (locally known as Chander Garhi). The deceased were identified as Md Idris, 25, and Helal Uddin, 20. The SUV was heading to Lohagora Upazila from Chakaria town. Around 5am, the truck rammed into the vehicle, leaving Idris dead and seven others injured. The injured were admitted to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared Helal dead, accoding to a news agency.
