2 killed in city road accident

Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident near Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in Paribagh area in the city on Thursday morning. The deceased were identified as Jahanara Begum, 40, and Chanburu, 35. Inspector Mozammel Haque, police camp in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), quoting the injured, said a bud collided with a Tejgaon-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 5:30am leaving passengers of the auto-rickshaw – Jahanara, Chanburu, Azizul, 30, and his wife Firoza Begum, 25, injured. Doctors declared Jahanara and Chanburu dead after the injured were taken to the hospital. The passengers of the auto- rickshaw came from Barisal to visit a relative in the city’s Tejgaon area, according to a news agency.
