2 killed in Comilla train-three-wheeler collision

Two people were killed as a train crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at a level crossing at Jailkahana Bari in Comilla on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Abul Khayer, 32, son of Mominul Islam, and Masud Rana, 28, son of Abdur Rashid of Tongirpar village in the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Laksam Junction Railway Police Station Ahsan Habib said the Dhaka-bound ‘Karnaphuli Express’ train hit the three-wheeler at the unmanned level crossing around 3:30pm, leaving its driver Abul Khayer dead on the spot.
Abdur Rashid succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
