2 killed in Cox\\\'s Bazar \\\'gunfight\\\'

COX'S BAZAR, Apr 27 (UNB): Two alleged Yaba traders, known as close aides of controversial local MP Abdur Rahman Bodi, were killed in a gunfight between their cohorts and members of Rab and BGB near the Naf river along the Teknaf border early Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Jahid Hossain Jaku (43), son of Abedin Saodagar of Kayukh Khali Para, and Faridul Alam (42), son of Shamsul Haq of Naikhang Para of Teknaf. Their names were on the list of Yaba traders of the Home Ministry.
Teknaf police station officer-in charge Ranjit Kumar Barua said the gunfight took place between a group of Yaba traders and the law enforcers near the Nature Park around 4 am that left Jaku and Faridul dead on the spot.
