2 killed in Cox\\\'s Bazar road crash

Two people, including a sexagenarian woman, were killed and 10 others injured in a road crash at Malumghat at Chakaria Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Sunday. The dead are Pushpa Pal, 60, hailed from Eidgaon village and Mohammad Shahjhan, 30, driver of a microbus and son of Jafar Alam of Meherghona village of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila. Police said the accident took place around 8:30am when a Cox’s Bazar-bound microbus from Chittagong crashed into a roadside tree after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the two people dead on the spot and 10 others injured. The injured were rushed to Malumghat Christian Memorial Hospital and Chakaria Upazila Health Complex, according to UNB.
