2 killed in Ctg road accident

At least two people were killed and several others injured as a covered van crashed into a pickup van carrying them in Sitakunda Upazila in Chittagong district on Wednesday. The dead are Anwar Hossain, 26, son of Abdur Rashid of Shenbagh Upazila in Noakhali district, and Mohammad Tarek, 28, son of Abdul Quader of Shibpur of Feni Sadar upazila. Kumria highway police camp sources said the accident took place when a speedy covered van hit a pickup van from behind at Kumira Bypass around 4:45am, leaving two passengers of the pickup van— Anwar and Tarek– dead on the spot, according to UNB.
