2 killed in elephants attack in Rangamati

Two people were killed and another injured in an attack by marauding elephants at Shiber Aga village in Longodu upazila of Rangamati district on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Mozammel Hossain and Nurul Haque. Abdul Gaffur Chowdhury, chairman of Bogachotor union, said a herd of wild elephants during an attack on the houses of the area in the early morning pounced on the three people, leaving two of them dead and another injured. The elephants also damaged three houses of the area, according to a news agency.
