2 killed in Faridpur road crash

Two people were killed as a Jessore-bound microbus hit them on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Bagat area of Faridpur sadar upazila on Monday. The deceased were identified as Sohan, 8, son of Sabuj Sheikh, and Salma, 30, wife of Titul Sheikh, a resident of the area. Ruhul Amin, officer-in-charge of Modhukhali police station, said the microbus hit the duo in the area around 11:30am, leaving Sohan dead on the spot and Salma critically injured. Salma was rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, according to a news agency.
