2 killed in Gaibandha road accident

Two people were killed and four others injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bhaperhat area of Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha district on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Jahidul, 46, and Mizan, 35, hailing from Mymensingh district. Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj highway police station, said the accident took place on the highway in the morning as the truck collided with the bus, leaving six passengers injured. Later the injured were rushed to Polashbari and Pirgacha health complexes where the duo succumbed to their injuries, according to a news agency.
