2 killed in Munshiganj road crash

A passenger bus has veered into a roadside ditch in Munshiganj killing two people. The accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Gazaria Upazila of Munshiganj district on early Sunday left at least 25 others injured. Passengers allege the driver was dozing off while driving. Police identified the dead as Masud Rana, 18, and Khadem Ali, 23. Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost's Sergeant Md Saiful Islam said a Chittagong-bound 'Shaon Entreprise' bus fell into a roadside ditch killing Rana on the spot. The driver could not be apprehended, according to bdnews24.com.
