2 killed in Rajshahi road crash

At least two people were killed and three others injured as a truck plunged into a ditch beside Kharkhari Bypass Road under Matihar Police Station in Rajshahi city on Saturday. The dead are Abdur Rahim, 35, son of Jhatu Rahim, a resident of Bishwanathpur village, and Abdul Kader, 30, son of Ansar Ali, a resident of Manoharpur village of Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj district. Police said the Chittagong-bound mango-laden truck from Chapainawabganj skidded off and fell into a ditch at Moslem More on the Kharkhari Bypass Road around 3:00am after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving the two people dead on the spot and three others injured. The injured were rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, according to UNB.
