2 killed in Rangamati gun battle

Two members of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) were shot dead in a gunfight with the members of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (PCJSS) in Naniarchar Upazila in Rangamati district on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Satyabrata Chakma, 27, and Biju Chakma, 32. Habibur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Rangamati Police said, a gunfight took place between the two rival groups at Sonaichhari village of Naniarchar around 11:00am, leaving Satyabrata and Biju dead on the spot. On information, a team of police and army rushed to spot, according to UNB.
