2 killed in road accident

GAIBANDHA, Mar 24 (UNB) : Two people were killed and four others injured in a head on collision between two trucks in Jahanara market area on Dhaka-Dinajpur highway in Gobindaganj Upazila town this (Thursday) morning.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Anwarul Islam (35), son of Jainal Abedin of Karimullapur area of the district town and helper Liakot, (38).
Witnesses said the accident occurred when a Rangpur-bound truck from Dhaka collided with another truck coming from opposite direction, leaving the truck driver dead on the spot and injured five others at around 7 am.
The injured were rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital while Liakot succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
