2 killed in road accidents in dists

RANGAMATI, Oct 11 (UNB): A man was killed and 10 others were injured when a bus plunged into a road side ditch at TV Center area in Rangamati on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Rahamat, 32.
Police said, the Rangamati-bound passenger bus fell into a road side ditch as its driver lost control over steering, leaving one deatd on the spot.
The injured were identified as Rabeya, 6, Akram, 10, Rupen Dey, 50, Abul Kashem, 50, Momtaz, 45, Hafizur Rahman, 6, Motiur Rahman, 24, Mohammad Jibon, 3, Aklima, 26 and Liton, 32.
Of the injured, four were admitted to Rangamati General Hospital as their condition was stated to be critical.
However, the driver managed to escape.
A case was filed.
Another report adds: An old man was killed as he was hit by a bus at Amuakanda in Fhulpur upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday.
Police said Abdul Aziz, 70, died on the spot as the bus hit him while he was crossing road at noon.
The bus driver along with his vehicle fled the scenefollowing the accident. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for autopsy.
