2 killed in separate road accidents

BRAHMANBARIA, July 3 (UNB): A man was killed and four others were injured as a truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Aharand on Comilla-Sylhet highway in Sadar upazila this (Sunday) morning. Police said the goods-laden truck dashed the Dharkhar bound auto-rickshaw and fell into a roadside ditch, leaving a man dead on the spot. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. The injured were admitted to a local hospital. Another report from Bhola adds: A man was killed as a bus hit an auto-rickshaw at Kunjerhat Bazar in Borhanuddin upazila on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Abdul Malek, 45, of Mulaipattan village in the upazila. Witnesses said the accident occurred when the passenger bus dashed the auto-rickshaw carrying Malek, leaving him dead on the spot.
