2 killed, many missing as bus plunges into river

RANGPUR: At least two people were killed and many went missing as a bus plunged into the Jamuneshwari River breaking the railing of a bridge in Taraganj upazila Sunday night. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet, according to a news agency.
Police said the Panchagarh-bound bus of ‘Bablu Paribahan’ carrying 40 passengers ploughed through the railing of the ‘Borati Bridge’ around 8:30pm while giving side to another bus coming from the opposite direction. Soon, the vehicle fell into the river breaking the railing and sank, said witnesses.
