2 local AL leaders hurt in rival attack

MUNSHIGANJ, Nov 9 (UNB): Two local Awami League leaders were injured, one with bullet, in an attack by their opponents over establishing supremacy at Rasulpur bazar in Gazaria upazila Tuesday evening. The injured are: Saral Kha, 52, member of Imampur Union Parishad and president of ward no 4 AL unit and Nasir Uddin Miaji, 60, vice-president of Gazaria upazila unit AL. Arju Mia, Officer-in-Charge of Gazaria thana quoting witnesses said local Juba Dal leader and former Imampur UP chairman Mujibur Rahman along with his men locked into an altercation with Saral and Nasir in the evening. At one stage, they beat them with hockey sticks and later sprayed bullets on them, leaving the duo critically injured.The injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
